UFO flying over Mumbai

A reader asked if this (video showing UFO fly over the Gateway of India, Colaba, South Mumbai) was for real. I froze in my chair. Sometimes, I wish I had completed those computer classes my mom paid for.. It would be so exciting to have UFOs flying out of my bedroom. Counting UFOs would be more fun than counting predictable sheep.

With all my skills, I’d add bright colours, squeaky sounds and make them in different shapes.

Why, I would create a male and a female UFO,
a UFO for animals,
a UFO for UFAs and UFMs and UFFs,
a UFO for the rain,
a Porsche UFO,
a UFO for the poor,
a mass transport UFO…

Top Secret: The UFO will be an IFO (Identifiable Flying Object) only to me. So its USP remains. Muhahahah (evil laugh)

    what a bad joke……is it the creation of your friend a.j. ?i hope not, he’s not that bad….

    the “u.f.o.” is flyin horizontal at all times, which is the only thing wannabe fools can do usin flash or some other easily available software…..

    it’s size is such that we can see it…impossible,given that it’s flyin in the clouds at SUCH a humongous distance….it’s colour(in the real world) makes it visualy stealthy(the greyish-silver), but not when it’s done from colours from flash colour palatte….

    it’s in many other ways NOT a ufo…..i won’t tell you much, ’cause i know mahafreed has deliberately done this……just foolin around…..now journo-why don’t you contact the ATC to know if they observed a huge radar blip ? IAF wouldn’t have left it alone, i tell ya….they’re super cool people

    :) smirk. come on NP, let’s give a few marks for the idea at least.. choice of location is also cute. hehehe
    interesting point about the stealthy colour required… so, u into aeronautical engineering? why so much praise for the IAF? Do you know, my cousin and bro have seen sukhois take off from a place… which was open to the common man.. no security at all. I won’t mention the place here.. coz I love my country and all.
    Fortunately it has been barricaded now.
    ATC I will not call. They will refuse to talk to me ever, if I ask them :) !

    okay..okay…i didn’t want to hurt anyone- was i too rude? sorry……i’m not into aeronautical engg.(’cause i scored badly in the entrances…) but iam HEAVILY into aeronautics…..i just LOVE all this stuff….i know all this because i’m interested in it, and because I WILL make a 6th gen. air-superiority fighter one day, just wait till i get outta college… i already have plans for nearly everything that goes into it….missiles, thrust vectoring, avionics ,defence etc etc…all brand new and (ahmm!!!) revolutionary ideas

    i have invented an anti-hijack aircraft concept too…i can share, if you want me to i’ll be making a remote controled missile firing helicopter(based on the v-22) for the inter college fests….i already missed one at some college called VIT..

    hmmm…sukhois….lucky boys, i must say…..and good that you don’t reveal the location

    you know what? i saw an ad by some ministry of extrateresstial affairs in the papers today….was that a joke too ?

    all these “generations” of aircraft, cars, computers, gadgets etc. usualy refer to the time period of their conception, with higher gen. technologies usualy being more advanced, efficient etc…concepts themselves can have generations of their own- stealth can be regarded as 4.5- 5 th gen concept, visual stealth (as in the “invisible cloak” concept and experiment, utilising metamaterials ) as a 5.5- 6 th gen concept, thrust vectoring as 5th gen, so on and so forth….what is 6th gen to me now might already be in the testing phase in the USAF….i can’t reveal much details about my ideas, ’cause then they’ll surely be stolen, what with your blog getting infinite hits from the US…..do you know why that’s happening? i guess it’s because of this UFO article of yours…..

    VIT i think stands for vivekanand inst. of tech…… i was to take part in the robo-wrestling comp….my friend came third in the gaming competition there- he was playing FIFA ‘08……i’ll be going to D.Y. patil college on the 13 th….just as a spectator…..sigh……

    the ad i talked about was in TOI, at the last page, bottom…..it even adviced mumbaikers to not to panic about any reported UFO sightings…strange, i say….

    what does ASAP mean? is it a technical term?

    HECK !!! i want to get in touch with some TIFR prof., who can guide me about my projects..or just help me with my planned robots…..do you think those guys are that sweet?

    are you really 18? I was dumb @ 18. Like really dumb. I don’t think I could even write as much as you’ve written here.
    What about Mood I? I was there for all the robot competitions they had. Best was micromouse :) Prison break was cool but I would have liked a bigger, complicated prison ;)

    @DYP, why just specatator?

    ASAP: As soon as possible.

    TIFR, they have an excellent website with a number and email database.. professors are very nice too, but I think they are a lil busy. What you can do is.. email them… I’m sure they’ll reply. Then maybe, you could set up for an appointment.

    TIFR is in Navy Nagar… land’s end. Most beautiful sea-facing campus.

    heheheee…as i said, i know all this simply becoz i’m interested in it…..and also becoz i don’t have much else to do, other than sleep, watch t.v., eat, read the newspaper, go for a movie with friends, on the marine drive….i’m not very outgoing(as in partying and stuff), but i just made a friend from NIFT and he was like….”what?! you don’t go out ? stuck on to you t.v. ? dude you’ll do that all your retired life…” and i was like..yeah sure, as fasion designers, you’ll probably be doing all of this ALL your life….

    i didn’t go to DYP…..very lazy…..and becoz there was LIVERPOOL v/s MAN UTD. !!!! AND LIVERPOOOL WON !!!!!! HURRRRRRAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
    i’m a liverpool fan….

    also becoz i don’t HAVE anything to display…..i’ll be doin all that from sem II

    i don’t know what this MOOD 1 is…..is it annual ? i’ll go if they have the” bone breaking ” competition….kick some robo ass !!!!

    Oops. It was actually not Mood I but Tech Fest(http://www.techfest.org/) that I was referring to. Both are IIT college festivals.

    Partying is fun only when you are with a large group of cool people who can dance their brains out ;) .

    Everyone thinks I’m a weirdo coz I don’t go out too. But that’s okay. Sometimes the world needs weirdos.

    oh. so many maidaans are there but. doesn’t your college have one??? u know, my mother made sure i joined a school and a college that had a nice big playground. she was afraid that if i’d join a school/college without a ground… i would put on weight very fast. lol :)

    I live on the tiny pacific Island of ‘Eua part of the Tonga group of Islands. Here UFO’s are common place,In fact they buzz around about once or twice a month and have done for 100’s of years according to our folk of the Island. We don’t even give them a second glance now days. They come up out of the back of the Island from the sea. At the back of the Island is the Tonga trench the second deepest trench in the world.
    Hope this helps with your research in this area.

    hey…..listen-i wont say much about folk lore and stuff, ’cause here in india, people are much worse…….they take folk lore to such unimmaginable heights…..they’re ready to kill the doubters actually….madmen….anyways…..you see these things that your folks describe can be anything…..passenger crafts…millitary crafts etc…..the thing is…..its not required by any civilisation to snoop on us earthlings every now n then….another thing-if we assume they have a reason to send ships out for us, our radars must pick ‘em up….unless ofcurse its kinda stealthy n all……but i dont get your tonga trench bit….

    mahafreed….i have no problems with stories-as long as people take them to BE stories and nothin else…..now fevah-i dont get what we humans would be doing on mars if we were to find proof of life out there-obviously we’ll be investigating and stuff…looking out, but then we’ll be definitely making it obvious if we know that those guys understand what that cubical thing rolling on 6 wheels indicates-its not their own, so someone’s out there! so if the aliens want us to know of them, they’ll make it obvious and not play hide n seek……now let me be very frank about this-whats so special about your tonga trench that kinda reassures the aliens so much that it becomes their equivalent of an empty road waiting to be driven upon?

    I’m not sure why they come out of the trench. I have no idea all I know is it is very common where I come from to see them. I’m only letting you know that they are here I have know idea why. I don’t know you o I don’t care if you believe me or not, it makes no difference to me. The are common and normal here that’s all. I have know idea about mars or anywhere else I can only speak for ‘Eua the Island I live on. You need to realize that we omly got the internet last year and we still cook in the ground and I’ve only recently found out that the rest of the world thinks the whole ufo thing is strange and uncommon before this I thought they must be everywhere.

    The UFO in Mumbai is cleverly done. Not sure where and how an inhabitant of Eua learnt English so well, without even internet access. Perhaps the ones they think are UFO’s are actually planes of some form. If they are as isolated as they claim to be then it can be an IFO as well. An object Unidentifiable to one person can very well be identifiable to another.

    However, at the risk of being ridiculed and being publicly labelled a freak, I shall like to draw everyone’s attention to the following recent events….If you watch the videos then turn on the sound for the commentary…

    Heh?! Don’t know how authentic these news are… don’t even know if these are UFO’s or meteors or ball lightning or something else. But, if meteors, then where are the meteorites ? However, I see no reason why life cannot exist in other planets and why they could not be sneaking around here :-) .
    I am waiting for a job on an Alien spaceship myself. :-)
